 Whilst in the Lakes today after my visit to Hill Top  I could not resist a trip to The World of Beatrix Potter

Visit to Hill Top ,The Lakes , Beatrix Potter's home

 Today I visited Hill Top in Sawrey in the Lake District . It was one of  Beatrix Potters farm's , she spent the most time here and the house and garden provided alot of the inspiration in her book , The Tale of Peter Rabbit and so on .
A little chilly and we didnt see much sun but very enjoyable . I have been wanting to come and see this for a long time .
I even spotted a little Peter Rabbit hopping along in the field opposite the house !
No photos allowed inside the house unfortunately .

Basket of Bunnies

Tiny bunnies in a basket . Two little bunnies , 1.5 inches tall plus ears , both made from vintage velvet and cashmere with onyx eyes .

Ester and Vanilla bunny

 Vanilla bunny is made from new long pile velvet with black glass eyes and stands 3 inches tall not including ears .She is pulling a basket cart which has little 2 inch Ester siting in it in her pretty floral cotton dress with vintage flowers . Ester is made from vintage velvet with onyx eyes and embroidered nose .

Mr Bun

Mr Bun is a 2.5 inch white bunny , not including his ears . He is made from vintage long pile velvet with onyx eyes and embroidered nose . He wears a daffodil coloured waistcoat and magenta top hat and tails with tiny brass buttons .He has a basket of Easter eggs and a tiny chick. Weighted .One only

Sugar Cakes

 Sugar Cakes is a 2 inch bear in bunny costume . She is made from vintage and new  long pile velvet with onyx eyes and embroidered nose .
She wears a silk ribbon and caries a basket full of Easter goodies . Weighted .One only

Raffles

 Raffles the clown is dressed in pretty Easter shades of pink and lilac with cotton trousers , hat and bow tie . He is made from new and vintage long pile velvet with onyx eyes and embroidered nose .He carries his own jingle bunny stick made from cashmere with tiny bead eyes . Weighted . One only

Odelette , guardian of the eggs

Odelette is a pixie guardian and he is looking after the Robin eggs very carefully in their nest inside his silk pouch . He is 2.5 inches tall with onyx eyes and embroidered nose .He has a hand knitted waistcoat and long pixie hat . Weighted .one only 

Dillan and Dawn the sheep

 Dillon is ready for Easter , riding his toy sheep Dawn with a basket on his back with his Easter egg tucked inside .Made from vitage long pile velvet with onyx eyes and an embroidered nose . Dawn the sheep made from vintage rayon with onyx eyes and on a wheeled base . One only

Sunny pixie and Pork Chop !

 Sunny is a 2 inch pixie bear made from new and vintage long pile velvet with a hand knitted waistcoat and long elf hat . Sunny has onyx eyes and an embroidered noseand sits on Pork Chop's back .Pork Chop is made from vintage velvet with tiny bead eyes and is on wheels . One only

Azalea bunny

Azalea bunny is 2.5 inches not including ears and madefrom new long pile velvet with onyx eyes and embroidered nose . She has cotton print inside her ears and pads , a silk bow and carries a tiny posy . Weighted .One only 

Pascale bunny

 Pascale the bunny is ready for Spring .He is 2.5 inches tall not including his ears and made from new long pile velvet with onyx eyes and embroidered nose .He has a basket on his back with a supply of carrots and has a carrot appliqued onto his spring green overals . A strand of miniature Pussy Willow makes a good walking stick .Weighted .One only
