Olympic Torch

 This morning the Olympic Torch was being carried through Knutsford , Cheshire ,a village about 6 miles away from where I live so I decided to go along and cheer !  After nearly two weeks of blue sky and sunshine the rain is back today but it didnt seem to dampen spirits in the crowds .

A fine day out and Charlie Crab !

We have been having some lovely weather here in the UK and I spent a day at the beach on Sunday . Picked up a few large shells to bring home and was very surprised when rinsing them to see a little crab coming out to say hello !
I felt very bad for taking him away from his beach and made him a temporary home in this bowl with the shells I collected . He came out of the biggest one by the way !
The next day I drove to a pet store and bought a large bag of salted water as tap water is not good for him and he seems quite happy in there . Feeding him tiny bits of things like ham and fish and trying to keep the water cool enough .
I am hoping it wont be long before I can return  Charlie to his beach !

Picnic Poppet

Picnic Poppet is a tiny 1.5 inch bear with tiny onyx eyes and made from vintage long pile velvet .He sits in his very own lined picnic basket with a giant strawberry , ( well ,its a giant to him ,he would be very full after eating that ! ) . Adopted

Chocolate Rose is a choc brown and rose coloured 2 inch bee bear made from vintage long pile velvet .She has onyx eyes and an embroidered nose and tiny furry wings .She stands on a base with very pretty vintage velvet rose and buds .Weighted .One only . Adopted

Jubilee

Jubilee is a 2 inch medium brown bear made from vintage long pile velvet. He wears a red waistcoat with tiny gold buttons and blue top hat with white ribbon rose and waves a tiny union jack flag.Made to commemorate The Queens Diamond Jubilee .Weighted .one only . ADOPTED

Daisy

 Daisy is a 2 inch bear made from vintage long pile velvet in pale green and yellow  . Adopted

.She has onyx eyes and an embroidered nose . Her petals which frame her face are vintage .She has a tiny bow on one ear .Weighted .One only .

Petunia

Petunia is a 2 inch bear made from vintage long pile velvet with onyx eyes and an embroidered nose .She has a bright turquoise rayon velvet body with matching ribbon and flower in ear . She sits on a chair I made for her which is alos decorated with tiny bright blue flowers .She has bent legs to sit easier on her chair .

Bluebird Pixie

Bluebird Pixie is a 2.5 inch bear made from new and vintage long pile velvet with onyx eyes and an embroidered nose . He is in very pretty pink and lilac with a long pixie hat with lilac bell and pink belt. He stands in his own little garden with white picket fence , ribbon flowers ,ivy and pretty pastel birdhouse . He has his tiny bluebird who has just landed on his paw . Adopted

Trixie

Trixie is a 2 inch fairy bear made from vintage long pile velvet with onyx eyes and an embroidered nose . Her body and petal skirt and wings are a very pretty pink .She has bent legs to sit in her leaf cart .
It is decorated with tiny velvet flowers and has acorn wheels and a felt leaf seat .

Lilac is a tiny fairy , just 1.5 inches tall made from very plae lilac rayon with tiny onyx eyes and lilac embroidered nose .She has a petal skirt ,wings and hat made from lilac petals . She stands on a green base .One only . Adopted

Pansy is a deep purple and very plae green 2.5 inch panda bear with onyx eyes and an embroidered nose . She is made from vintage long pile velvet . She has a silk ruffle and sits on a leaf green base with vintage velvet pansy .Weighted .One only . Adopted

Sidney the gardener

Sidney is a 2.5 inch bear made from tan vintage long pile velvet with onyx eyes and an embroidered nose.He wears his check gardening apron and red hat .His apron has a big pocket to put his tools and a couple of vegetables in it .He has a basket over his arm with veggies collected from his garden .He stands on a green base with tiny dandilion and clay plantpot with tiny hedgehog peeping out .Weighted .One only .Adopted

Tiny Red

Little Red is a 1.5 inch bear made from vintage long pile velvet with tiny onyx eyes and black embroidered nose . He stands on an antique tiny silk pin cushion which has hand painted flags on it .

Celine is a gold 2.5 inch bear made from vintage long pile velvet with onyx eyes and an embroidered nose . She wears a lovely cotton dress with strawberry print and a pretty bonnet and pulls an acorn cart with large strawberry in it .Weighted .One only .Adopted
